Responsibilities for all the engineering work of the city. Duties include; the supervision and coordination of the planning and building departments, the issuing of permits, the streets, parks, water supply, street lighting and general maintenance departments as well as the preparation of new projects’ proposals, studies, procurement, construction works supervision and contract management.

As a consultant engineer for 20 years (1996 – 2015) he has been involved in the study and design of major and minor transportation projects including the design of new & upgrading of existing rural, urban roads and highways and the participation in several environmental, traffic impact assessment studies, etc.

Associate at the University of Cyprus responsible for the 2 majors of Highway Engineering and Transportation Engineering of Civil Engineering Department for the four academic years 2007-11. For both subjects he was responsible for both lecturing and examination.

He also participated in several European Research projects in the field of urban civil engineering, urban regeneration and transportation. including, SARTRE3, MEDA TEN-T, ROSE25, COST Action C8, SUPREME, COST Action C27, SARTRE4.

He is also actively participating in the area of Road Safety representing the Cyprus Technical Chamber at the Road Safety Board of Cyprus between 2002 and 2014. Ηe was a member in the study group for the 1st and the 2nd Cyprus Road Safety Strategic Plan 2002 -06 and 2012 – 20 respectively.
